1. My guiding word for 2018 is patience…. and believe me, this is truly something I need to cultivate to live in this multi-species household where my feline sisfur acts like a otter and I’m expected to view prey (Halo) as a brofur instead
of the main ingredient in hasenpfeffer stew…. I shall not even attempt to articulate my thoughts on the humans and their infernal habit of hauling me to the v e t or ‘sisfur’ Sphera, even though she can be more of a scardy cat than Purrseidon….
2. A house is not a home without cats!
3. I look forward to planting our garden this year and I’m purraying there won’t be another ‘nip-stealing hurricane this year.
4. I really need to start my seeds indoors, because the weather has turned unexpectedly cold. Would you believe that we’ve had frost for the past couple nights?!? This is unheard of, at least for my latitude!!! The news acts a lot like Chicken Little and yelling ‘the sky is falling’, but after all, it IS winter, so cold weather is supposedly expected. I think the problem is that many reporters also buy into the global warming concept, but blizzards sort of make me wonder about the accuracy of that.

I purrsonally purrfer to ignore that brofur of mine, but do admit he is tolerable and I haven’t mussed over the ingredients for rabbit stew lately. =^.^=

Wise words, you share here. I am sorry for being so late. One step forward, three back. Sick dog, Kenzie, is better. But, we had some very bad news about Clyde. However, we are determined to not let it steal joy. Clyde is all about living life with joy. Animals remind me of the little things like that. Sometimes, I need a good cry, but, like Clyde, “I got dis.” Hugs.

Mimi, normally, I long for cooler weather to go with my think coat, and tease Purr for liking to cuddle in blankets… the past couple days, I’ve learned how cozy those blankets are…. =^.^=

Oh, Mr M … you are one-of-a-kind! You always make us laugh and today is no different – ” … where my feline sisfur acts like a otter and I’m expected to view prey (Halo) as a brofur instead of the main ingredient in hasenpfeffer stew.” I haven’t heard the word “hasenpfeffer” since my Mom died. She never made it … but it was one of those fun words she enjoyed using.

Momma Kat, did you know that Hasenpfeffer stew is a traditional German dish? Pops lived in Germany for a short time and loves it. I had no idea it was an old-fashioned word. =^.^=
PS: I’d be glad to share the recipe, if you’re interested.

I guessed. My father traced both sides back to the Reformation and I’m pretty much 100% German (really hard to believe … but most marriages were from the same churches/church community, so it makes sense). My father grew up in a small German town in Michigan and didn’t speak English until he went to school. I was just tickled because I’ve never heard anyone else use that word!

I frequently mention hasenpfeffer stew, purrticularly when Halo misbehaves. =^.^=

LOve your fill-ins. We agree about the gardening. Not starting plants in the house this year. Not enough sun and the seeds don’t do well without sun.

Shoko, our catio faces East and I am hoping that is a good location to start seeds. >^.^<

Thank you both for these great answers. I can see why you need patience Mr. M 🙂 And I had the same answer for #2. And Purrseidon, that is cold for Florida. I hope your catnip grows well this year. Have a nice weekend! XO
