2. My favorite 4th of July picnic food is fried chicken.

Sunday Selfies

Dear Furiends,

DSC_0464Sorry, for the grooming shot – I’ve been very, very busy this week, and was trying to get my fur in propurr place.

Below, Katsu is posing with our ‘nip plant… it’s starting to get a bit flattish, since that has become his favorite place.

20180529_112038Next,  is the raptor that dropped by and temporarily took over my purrsonal oak… I was quite startled when I initially saw him. Fortunately, he claims cats aren’t on his diet… Unfortunately, the lizards I love to chase are… 20180208_092934

Thus in order to be politically correct, I’m also sharing a photo of the lizard that was NOT eaten:DSC_0087

Next I thought you might like to see a photo of a passion flower – this is NOT the one that’s trying to take over my catio.

20180608_113525

AND I shall end today’s selfies with our dear furiend, Angel. Neither Angel nor his mom, Ms. Cherie, have a blog, though they DO have a humongous piano, so I told my dear furiend that any time he emalled me a photo, I’d include it. Angel and Ms. Cherie live in Ohio and have actual hills!. Here is Angel as he sits on his purrsonal porch and keeps an eye on everything:

unnamed-2

Did you notice that he has an honest-to-goodness-rug on his porch/catio?!?!? Katsu and I only have a yoga mat….. I’m thinking Angel is quite pampered… Alberto and the Tribe of Five have a beautiful rug on their catio, too… I’m seeing a pattern….

Catio Update

Dear Furiends,20180531_162744

I had the staff bring the limbs from the tree we cut down into my our catio, so I couldt make “bridges” for Katsu and me to play on ….scratch too.

20180603_153902
The plants left to right are: mints, curcumas, catnip, lavender and curcuma, empty pot, Katsu in the big catnip, empty pot, majestic, palm   and empty….. Since I don’t totally trust Katsu not to sprawl on it, the cat grass pot is outside until its grown … Ms. Kiara was true to her word and gifted me with cat grass seeds! … She is the bestest herb dealer, ever!!!

Sunday Selfies

Dear Furiends,

Did you notice that I’m posing with a beetle? I didn’t want to pose alone. Weird looking, IMG_0571isn’t he? Or purrhaps it’s a she … s/he didn’t actually say. The next selfie is of the big, ole moth that came by to visit … s/he didn’t mind posing alone. I don’t know about you, but I like insects, mainly I like watching them.

My dear furiend, Angel enjoyed purrticipating in last week’s selfies, so here he is, again:

unnamed copy

Of course, Katsu must be included. BTW, he seems to be getting over his UTI infection, and I dare to hope his whole body is healing. That having been said, either he’s the clumsiest kitten ever, or I’m super-coordinated… Mom thinks he bumps into things because he doesn’t see quite right, and if his eye ever gets fixed, purrhaps he will be better coordinated. For sure, he’s getting better at looking at the camera.DSC_0072

MY ‘Nip…

Dear Furiends, 20180529_112058

Do you see Katsu in MY ‘Nip? He is a bit obsessed with plants and well some, like aloe, can be toxic to kitties, so I had my staff take the potentially dangerous ones outside. Due to his eye problem, Katsu is kinda clumsy, and not allowed outside, unless he’s on a leash, and I know which ones to avoid, so we should be fine.

I had my staff bring in one of my catnip plants, a palm and a pot of lavender, which are all kitty-safe  and  we’re making “kitty potted plant corner” in the catio… Katsu is loving this! Do you see him in MY ‘Nip, yet?

If not, here is a closer look: 20180529_112220

PS: to those of you who suggested that I should have had Ms. Munchkin plant ‘nip in my bed … This isn’t the only pot of ‘nip I own.

Feline Friday Fillins

purr51. My neighbors are basically okay, though I really do wonder about some of their quirks.

2. The last thing I purchased online was treats… Halo’s freeze-dried salmon treats, if you must know the specifics.

20170311_1114523. I have never thought absolutes like “always”, “every”, “everyone” and “never” were wise to use because there always seem to be exceptions. (Meowser, did you catch that play with words?!!? I assure you it was on purrpose.)

4. Anything is can be possible if one makes a sincere effort and really, really wants it.

Friendly Feline Friday Fillins

20170318_1438321. It is Friday…. That’s why this post is called Friendly FELINE FRIDAY FIllins.

2.The best part of last week was on Sunday, when Saphera, Katsu and I all purticipated, sort of like a real family purroject for the Sunday Selfies. Mind you, Katsu will never replace my dear elder borfur, but he has purrtential to make a good younger one – purrticularly so, if he can beat that eye issue.DSC_1089

3. Every summer, I love working in the garden and playing with butterflies… last year, we hardly had any butterflies and Mr M meowed that was because of the humans who had sprayed poison for mosquitoes… We only had a pawful of birds visit our yard all year, too… This year seems a lot better, more birds, more butterflies… More life…. I don’t know if this is because the humans haven’t sprayed their poison OR because Mr. M is now in a place where he can work his magical purrtherapy more effectively…p1190744

4. Once upon a time, is a good phrase to begin a fiary tale with… Mom says she heard of a TV series by that name, too, though I’ve never seen it, so I don’t know if it is good or not.

Sunday Selfies

DSC_0001

Hello, again, dear Furiends!

Today, I’m focusing on the deluge in our garden while Saphera gives Katsu a lesson in posing for pictures.

In this image, Saphera is showing Katsu how he should have posed with the book he reviewed last Tuesday:DSC_0026

Hmmmm…. that’s a better pose with the book, but he still isn’t looking at that camera… though as I look at the photo, above, Saphera wasn’t looking at it, either….:DSC_0029.ks

…. I’m thinking it’s going to take a lot of lessons for him to learn to look at the camera without attacking the tantalizing red on light….DSC_0071
