My hubby is out there now looking for some and we are meeting 2 other couple at midnight to look for them.

Gilbert’s Crossing would be the perfect place for us to view it, but we’re expecting rain. Aside from the trees completely covering the sky from our yard, the other problem is that it is always cloudy here when the good sky events come along.

Our main problem is the light pollution from street lights.

I’m sorry to hear that. We live within the city limits, but close to the edge. Unless the ball park has its lights on, we’re okay in that regards. I hope that you find a good viewing spot.

We live near the city limits, too. Unfortunately, last year they installed a street light smack dab behind our house … I never notice it during the day, but swear that I could almost read by it at night.

OY! So, it is lighting up inside your house, too? I think it would be cool if they would install switches on them so that we could turn them off and on as needed.

I wonder if I can get up early and find some wide open countryside to watch this? I probably could do just that. It would be an adventure.
