Sunday Selfies

This post is part of The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfies Blog Hop & The Pet Blogger Showcase ( BearKat is one of the hosts)..  In addition to my selfie, here is M… he was being semi-cooperative, since he sat in front of the camera, but he was also being true to his nature, since he was trying to ignore the camera. There is simply no understanding some cats, or people or dogs, or much of anything… p1200097

Have a wonderful week, my furiends,

Purrseidon  >^.^<

PS: The following is a gator selfie <shiver>… I worry about what that fellow might be thinking to smile like that:

PSS:  I call this fellow a gator because Diffen says,Crocodiles have long and pointed, V-shaped snouts while alligators have rounded, U-shaped snouts. Other differences include the shape of their jaws and hind legs. Their behavior is also starkly different, with crocs being more aggressive than gators.” AND IMHO, that nose/snout is roundish.

    1. They make me shiver, too… so do snakes and squirrels… and all those creatures live near my home, which is why we are vigilant about patrolling our property. >^.^<

  2. Purrseidon, your selfie is truly amazing…pure purrfection. We understand Mr M. Many of us are like that. Holy c@rp…we sure hope that gator wasn’t anywhere near where you live. Super scary. Thanks so much for hopping with us. Have a great week. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

    1. Shoko, you are a far braver that than I am! HOWEVER, IF you ever volunteer to do so, let me know and I shall bring my camera to record the event…. At least I will if there is a safe vantage point. Gators are excellent sprinters. >^.^<

Purriseidon oh my that gator lives too nearby! Wowie that would make our Momma crazy. We know that gators are all around in Florida no matter almost where you live, especially living near to water which of course we all do since Florida is a peninsular!
    Great selfie!!!

    1. Telephoto was just made for that situation… I had many more qualms about a mama gator’s nest being in the trees on the other side of our fence… they can climb trees…. Feral pigs are bad in our area, too. That said, some neighbors like hunting, so bacon is often available….I hear that gators are edible, too, but I can’t convince anyone to help me test this… >^.^<

Purr you are so sweet. M is funny, I am that way too many times Mom says 🙂 So glad we don’t have gators here!

    1. I don’t like gators, but IMHO, they are a bit better than squirrels, Chucky and feral pigs. I didn’t notice any teeth holes in your nanner … M’s is still really nice, too. >^.^<

    1. Everglades is South of us, but there are gators all over Florida. We even have a few crocodiles in warmer areas. Last year, a gator had a nest about 50 feet the other side of our fence. When I climb my oak tree, I always check for hazards on the other side of my perimeter. >^.^<

  5. Pretty selfie, Purrseidon! You know, when Sparkle had the blog, sometimes when she did not want to be photographed, she would sit there, but she would look everywhere but the camera! I don’t know why she did that I like being photographed.

    1. I like being photographed, too, but M surely doesn’t. When the camera comes out, it’s almost like he puts on Harry Potter’s cloak of invisibility… I’ve never net anyone else who can disappear like that. >^.^<
