Sunday Selfies

PussDear Furiends,

I am trying to keep Sunday Selfies dignified, but Katsu insisted on doing his selfie in Ms. Munchkin’s yoga hammock… I’m not sure if that is dignified or not.

Our furiend, Angel took his on his catio/porch, and Sapthera was simply in the family room.

Sunday Selfies

Dear Furiends,

DSC_0464Sorry, for the grooming shot – I’ve been very, very busy this week, and was trying to get my fur in propurr place.

Below, Katsu is posing with our ‘nip plant… it’s starting to get a bit flattish, since that has become his favorite place.

20180529_112038Next,  is the raptor that dropped by and temporarily took over my purrsonal oak… I was quite startled when I initially saw him. Fortunately, he claims cats aren’t on his diet… Unfortunately, the lizards I love to chase are… 20180208_092934

Thus in order to be politically correct, I’m also sharing a photo of the lizard that was NOT eaten:DSC_0087

Next I thought you might like to see a photo of a passion flower – this is NOT the one that’s trying to take over my catio.

20180608_113525

AND I shall end today’s selfies with our dear furiend, Angel. Neither Angel nor his mom, Ms. Cherie, have a blog, though they DO have a humongous piano, so I told my dear furiend that any time he emalled me a photo, I’d include it. Angel and Ms. Cherie live in Ohio and have actual hills!. Here is Angel as he sits on his purrsonal porch and keeps an eye on everything:

Did you notice that he has an honest-to-goodness-rug on his porch/catio?!?!? Katsu and I only have a yoga mat….. I’m thinking Angel is quite pampered… Alberto and the Tribe of Five have a beautiful rug on their catio, too… I’m seeing a pattern….

Dear Furiends,

This is Sunday number two that I’m posing with my pet bug. Cute, isn’t he?

Next is Katsu

And Saphera:DSC_0212

Now for furiends that live in my our yard – This fine feathered bird and a lizard that I’ve been playing ‘catch the tail’ with.DSC_0077DSC_0091

Last – but not least, our furiend, Angel, who doesn’t have a blog of his own, but wanted to share a photo of himself with his purrsonal brush… and a very fine brush it is!unnamed-3

Dear Furiends,

Did you notice that I’m posing with a beetle? I didn’t want to pose alone. Weird looking, IMG_0571isn’t he? Or purrhaps it’s a she … s/he didn’t actually say. The next selfie is of the big, ole moth that came by to visit … s/he didn’t mind posing alone. I don’t know about you, but I like insects, mainly I like watching them.

My dear furiend, Angel enjoyed purrticipating in last week’s selfies, so here he is, again:

unnamed copy

Of course, Katsu must be included. BTW, he seems to be getting over his UTI infection, and I dare to hope his whole body is healing. That having been said, either he’s the clumsiest kitten ever, or I’m super-coordinated… Mom thinks he bumps into things because he doesn’t see quite right, and if his eye ever gets fixed, purrhaps he will be better coordinated. For sure, he’s getting better at looking at the camera.DSC_0072

Sunday Selfies

Dear Furiends,33057912_10211710767300705_6600148051321421824_n

Today’s Sunday Selfies are mainly from my catio, where the staff is trying to turn Katsu & my new, matching beds into planters for herbs. Have you ever heard of such nerve?

So, I apologize for the peek-a-boo selfie, but I was trying to retain custody of my bed, too. You simply would not believe the ideas my staff gets about repurrposing my things!

What’s worse, if you take a look at this wider 20180519_180750photo, you’ll notice that  MY bed is not their only option for things to plant herbs in… they have actual flower pots available … BTW, that’s a corner of MY bed in the lower right corner & you can also see that I’ve put my purrsonal pad and some toys are in it – these should establish ownership with most reasonable staff…

Alas, my staff isn’t reasonable … they don’t even acknowledge that i’m the purrprietor of this house!

Er, you didn’t click in to read about my catio bed problems, you’re here for the Sunday Selfies, so here is Katsu, who obviously doesn’t have the sense to get into his purrsonal bed to purrtect it:

20180519_183459

AND we have a few  special treats for you – below is our furiend, Angel, who lived feral until he adopted a musician about a year ago. (He loves music)… I believe Angel will be 2 years old sometime in July… I also believe his staff would never, ever unnamed-1consider the idea of turning his purrsonal bed into a planter for herbs! However, I can’t be positive about this since he apparently has a cozy chair instead of a bed on his purrsonal catio.

Ehem, AND these are the new babies in one of Ms. Cricket’s mom’s hanging flower pots… M would have been thrilled. In fact, he might even have stopped avoiding Ms. Cricket in order to get close enough to listen to their delightful cheeping (Probably not close enough for her to droll on him, though):20180407_152436

AND lastly, Master William Snakespear, who lives in my own side yard wanted to join the selfies…. He knows I like to give his head the whacky paw, so only posed when he was out of reach… Rest assured, if he ever tries to get those adorable babies, I shall give him claws along with a sound smack and climbing the eaves trough pipe will not save him!!!20180423_125932

DSC_0001

Hello, again, dear Furiends!

Today, I’m focusing on the deluge in our garden while Saphera gives Katsu a lesson in posing for pictures.

In this image, Saphera is showing Katsu how he should have posed with the book he reviewed last Tuesday:DSC_0026

Hmmmm…. that’s a better pose with the book, but he still isn’t looking at that camera… though as I look at the photo, above, Saphera wasn’t looking at it, either….:DSC_0029.ks

…. I’m thinking it’s going to take a lot of lessons for him to learn to look at the camera without attacking the tantalizing red on light….DSC_0071

Dear Furiends,

You probably don’t realize how significant today’s selfie is. That’s because you don’t realize that the rock I’ve got my paws on is Mr. M’s grave stone… it even sort of looks like him. I spend time there whenever possible. I overheard the chef say, “I think she is having a hell of a time with M and Halo being gone.”  What’s wrong with missing a beloved brofur and wanting to be near him?

As per Katsu, he’s slowly but surely learning to pose for the camera…. today, required a little something to focus on:

DSC_0068

As a special treat, this is the nest some new birds are building in the gardenia bush… I’m not purrcisely sure what sort of birds they are, purrhaps sparrows…. last year we hardly saw any birds due to the awful poison-spraying to kill mosquitoes… As M DSC_0005always said, ‘the fools killed a lot more than those zika-carrying mosquitoes!’ This year is different – I’ve seen more birds and insects today than I did all of last year. Mrs. Dove (whose nest is in Sheriff Shrub’s ear) has already hatched 2 babies and is teaching them how to eat ‘big bird’ food! Purrhaps it’s just me, but I can’t help wondering if M has had a paw in all of this…. I know he was a powerful purr therapist, who could do just about anything, except cure his own cancer…. It’s quite a coincidence that things began to come back to our garden after that cancer finally got him.

Saphera is still playing tail-wag with Katsu (but not me!) and I’m peeved that she claims I weigh to much…. Pardon me, but I am NOT the one the vet has on a diet! Due to her insult, her selfie is last in line.31824468_10211602279748584_8234896789832990720_n

Dear Furiends,

I managed to get into the library due to rain… I’ve basically been living on the catio, while Katsu took over my home and surrogate mom.

This is Katsu:DSC_0086

Looks quite cozy in my old bedroom, doesn’t he?!?

BTW, I’m not the only one who is irritated over the current situation, as you can see, below, Ms. Livie Lou isn’t happy, either… Surrogate-mom-Saphera isn’t paying attention to her bestest furiend, either.(Just like she is ignoring me… I don’t know what it is about babies that turn Saphera into a single-minded dog.)DSC_0022-2

Since you liked last week’s Angel Trumpet selfie, here is a closeup:DSC_0009.p

Lastly, the situation (Katsu + monopoly of Saphera’s attention) below is what has me and Ms. Livie Lou hissing and howling;

p - b

Sear Furiends,

Today I was doing a profile selfie… as you can see, below, Katsu doesn’t quite get the idea, but it is difficult having a relationship and sharing information through a closed door and/or window, so I’m sure that he will get better at purrticipating with time.

DSC_0052.k

And the Angel Trumpet wanted to purrticipate, too…. This is very fitting since I can no longer get selfies of my Angel Brofurs:

DSC_0007.p

Mr. M spent a lot of time in our catio – this is a photo of it. As you can see, the passion flower vine is taking over. This is a good thing because it purrvides a lot of shade and wonderful camouflage for watching birds, bugs and all sorts of other things.

Dear Furiends,

I’m still not smiling over getting a new brofur…. Katsu has upsurped my room, my bed AND my purrsonal human – if you don’t believe me, here is the evidence:

sam

Master Munchkin has also been to the zoo and while I don’t mind including this trio of meerkats in todays’ selfies, I shall put up a mega protest IF Master Munchkin adopt them and further pushes me out of my purrsonal space!
