I’ve been having a LOT of words with Saphera…. I’ve even given her a few whacky paws on the nose, but I wasn’t peeved enough to extend my claws. No matter what I did, she didn’t listen to why she should be nice to bunnies… For any of you that missed the cause of this and why I needed to use a lot of words  on her,  I wrote about my HUGE Problem on Saturday….. Poor Halo is still too traumatized to come out of his hutch.confirence

Mr. M and I have been coordinating our efforts to patrol the yard to warn off any bunnies and Saphera is not allowed out without supervision. DSC_0804

We’ve looked high and low, but either Saphera has eaten every bunny around or all the bunnies heard about Saphera and know not to come here.

M finally suggested that I read Saphera Peter Rabbit… and she had this reaction..

Today, I want to show off a combination Christmas gift and science experiment that Master Munchkin and I are working on….. Mushrooms!!!

It is still too cool for ‘real gardening’ but we are doing super well with this inside project… Halo is fascinated by it, too. Alas, bunnies can not eat mushrooms, so he won’t be able to purrticipate/eat the pizza Master Munchkin and I plan to make. Mr. M thinks our project is revolting because we mist the project with water every day and he is very hostile to water AND our mister bottle… so hostile that he even gave the bottle a whacky paw. Fortunately, he didn’t break it.

Just look at the progress we’ve had!!!

Mushrooms grow extremely fast, in fact that change nearly happened over night.

As per bunnies: my research on what BUNNIES absolutely CAN NOT EAT ( they are poisonous to rabbits:) Potatoes, Daffodil, Rhubarb, Lillies, Mushrooms, Avocado, Broad beans, Oak, Sweetpea, Buttercup, Kidney beans, Jasmine, Nightshade, Snowdrop, Privet, Hemlock, Foxglove, Iceberg lettuce, Any leaves from evergreen trees.

Guess that means I’ll get an extra slice of pizza.

Dear Furiends,

Some of you asked about the gift that Pops helped me make my brofur. Well, this is it!:

I assure you that we cats are true connoisseurs when it comes to boxes and the one I chose for my brofur was a sturdy box… one that M can sprawl in…. and then Pops and I made it even better by adding doors that he can open/close for privacy. (Pops’ handy-dandy opposable thumbs made things super easy because he could get a good grip on the knife and that sticky-icky tape.) In case you want to do this, we used shipping tape around the flaps, so opening and closing wouldn’t damage the paper. I chose a nice plaid because it matches M’s favorite sweater and it isn’t seasonal. AND, HE LOVES IT!!!!
