Katsu and I both love Purina Pro Plan Seafood Favorites Variety Pack Canned Cat Food. However, I don’t trust my new brofur to assist with this review. (ANY food review, for that matter. You see Katsu, being a teenage tom. is a starving bottomless pit…. Until he grows up enough to pose next to a dish of food without eating it plate and all, pictures with food will not work.)

Purina knows that every cat is different in his or her own, wonderful way, that’s why they offer their Purina Pro Plan Seafood Favorites Variety Pack Canned Cat Food. in three product categories: Savor, Focus and Finesse. This means you can give your furry friend exactly what s/he needs to live a healthy, active life, along with a sensory experience that will have her loving every minute of it! Thus, this balanced diet is specifically formulated to support a healthy, active lifestyle for adult cats. The fact that Katsu is NOT an adult is another reason why he is not qualified to do this review.

This variety pack includes eight cans each of Seafood Stew Entree in Sauce, Salmon & Rice Entree in Sauce, and Tuna Entree in Sauce. All recipes have real fish in a healthy, yummy sauce, which includes antioxidants for a strong immune system as well as omega-6 fatty acids for healthy skin and a smooth, lustrous coat.

Purina is made in the United States without the use of any added artificial colors, flavors or preservatives….. Saphera wanted to be involved in this review, too, BUT she is obviously NOT an adult cat – or trustworthy around food, either!

Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Very Good, Very Bad Cat

Meowser- reowser, everyone, Purrseidon asked (actually she told me) to do this review because Master Munchkin read the book to me, not her. (I think she’s peeved about that and I’ve heard that she loves it when he reads to her, too.) Furankly, reading is how Master Munchkin and I got to know each other because on Saturday’s he would come to the shelter where I was born and read to us inmates, while his purrants helped with other things.

But this is supposed to be a review about Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Very Good, Very Bad Cat: 101 Heartwarming Stories about Our Happy, Heroic & Hilarious Pets, not about how I ended up being adopted and being ordered to write tis review.

This is a wonderful book had us laughing even shedding a few tears. These 101 true stories would make a wonderful gift to anyone who loves cats and books, which is purrty much most anyone in this house…. And I’m sure it’s good enough to read at least twice, so Ms. Purrseidon will be able to enjoy these 101 stories about ornery cats, goofy cats, healer cats, surprising cats, endearing cats, clever cats,therapist cats, hunter cats, nanny cats, AND heroic cats, too.

Over my five months at the shelter, Master Munchkin read several books to me, so I know there is a five star rating system. I think Chicken Soup for the Soul: My Very Good, Very Bad Cat:  merits 5 stars and I also think that short stories are much better than long books because I don’t need to wait furever to find out what happened.

Hill’s Science Diet Adult Oral Care Dry Cat Food

Hill’s Science Diet Adult Oral Care Dry Cat Food  provides your four-legged friend with great tasting nutrition for a long, happy life, but Mr. M didn’t know that when this month’s Chewy box arrived…. One sniff, though, and he HAD to have that box opened, but the chef wasn’t around… What to do …. what to do…. Hmmm, he’d been buttering up to Ms. Munchkin for weeks and she had those useful thumbs…. She opened it for him then couldn’t tell him no when he begged her to open the Hill’s Science Diet Adult Oral Care Dry Cat Food 

The cats love this food Mr. M eats pretty slow because he did not have good dental hygiene until he was a senior. The pieces are closer to the size or dog food bits than most dry cat food. (This is perfect for Purrseidon a.k.a. ‘our personal cat-dog’. Purr was not thrilled with the idea of dental health food …. until the bag was opened, then she got as excited as Mr. M.

They have eaten this since Ms. Muchkin intercepting the delivery and gav into M’s excitement. In fact, since she opened this bag, they have turned down all other dry food …. we had some new food we were trying and they have not touched it, unless you count Purr batting pieces on to the floor for Saphera.  All in all I say this one is a win.

It is made with wholesome ingredients such as savory chicken, and the nourishing recipe is balanced to reduce plaque and tartar and freshen breath. Beset of all, it is manufactured in the United States and every ingredient meets strict requirements for purity and nutrient content which exceed industry standards.

I and Love You Variety Pack

The blends in I and Love You Variety Pack are grain-free, gluten-free and all-natural recipes provide perfectly balanced nutrition with the wholesome goodness of real fruits and veggies. AND in my opinion, the name is just purrfect for Valentine’s Day.

This yummy food if made in the USA using real chicken, cod or turkey as the first ingredient for a natural boost of protein without by-product meals, artificial flavors or fillers. That said, they do include vitamins, minerals, omega-6, which make our coats healthy, and antioxidants. (An antioxidant is a molecule that inhibits the oxidation of other molecules. Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Variety

I loved Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Variety. The food is a combination of pate and soup, which made it easy for Mr. M to eat, too. The names of the flavors gave everyone a chuckle. These are 3.2 ounce cans, which is just the right size for a meal for one. Kitty Gone Wild is wild salmon au jus (that is highfaluting French for in juice, but I guess it sounds posh); Chicken Frick ‘A Zee is chicken au jus; Funk in the trunk is chicken, tuna and pumpkin au jus; Lamb Burger-ini is lamb and tuna au jus. (Kitty Gone wild is all our favorite, but all four flavors are so delicious that we licked our bowls clean.) 

We hadn’t heard of Weruva so Mr. M researched the company prior to agreeing to review the product…. He believes that good food is better than medicine and since these recipes have vitamins he’s probably correct. I loved the names of the recipes, but Mr. M only started getting confident when he realized this was a US company. He started liking the company when he clicked on the ‘meet the staff’ page and met them…. Like us, Webster, Rudi & Vanessa all began life feral. Webster, Rudi & Vanessa also are big-hearted enough to include a dog sibling. We both can identify with this. 

Weruva Cats in the Kitchen Variety Pack Grain-Free Canned Cat Food was inspired by the family kitchen, and it is also known as “people food for pets.” Weruva uses uses high protein recipes that are delicious as well as complete and balanced nutrition, but the easy-to-serve cans are an excellent way to supply your cat with necessary hydration. Plus, s/he will love the variety of tasty ingredients, like cage-free chicken, wild-caught tuna and wild-caught mackerel!

Did you guess we would be doing reviews this week? I thought I gave a big hint when I did last Sunday’s selfie in the box…. and yes, I got first dibs on it this month…. Obviously, gifting Mr. M a very special box for Christmas had side benefits.

Nutramax Cosequin Calm Chewable Tablets Dog Supplement

Saphera loved Nutramax Cosequin Calm Chewable Tablets Dog Supplement
and so did Livie Lou.  (She shared.) An acquaintance  that she always barks at came over, and while Saphera barked,  her reaction wasn’t even remotely close to how she normally behaves. That was quite unexpected and appreciated.

Saphera and LIvie Lou both acted as if the pill was a treat and at the moment, they are happily relaxing. Purrseidon views this as a prime opportunity  to play with tails and give kitty kisses.

The pills are shaped like adorable little bones and made in the USA.

I suspect with a Nutramax Cosequin Calm Chewable Tablet and her thundershirt, she might actually let strange adults touch her… If you don’t know Saphera, you don’t realize that years ago, when she almost looked like a polar bear cub, we found her running next to the interstate – she was in a ‘blind panic’. Among many other injuries, her tail had been broken. What we didn’t realize was that her injuries went deeper than fur, skin, sinew and bone – her nerves were a mess. We say she has ‘doggy PTSD’. Thus, it can take her years to accept a new person. Unless they are a baby – she loves babies. Unfortunately, she loves them to the point that she doesn’t want to relinquish them to their proper parents. This is why Purrseidon views Saphera as her surrogate mom.

Alas, medication that we’ve previously given her in the hope that she would be able to deal with new people, unexpected situations – or thunder, have not helped very much. Worse, other medications have upset her stomach. So far no tummy issues with Nutramax Cosequin Calm Chewable Tablets.

We felt fine allowing LIvie Lou to be a co-tester, even though she is half of Purrseidon’s size, while Saphera is some sort of husky blend because this medication is labeled as being appropriate for all sizes. Apparently, whoever came up with the blend noticed that dogs don’t know how to take a deep breath, so they designed this to help support balanced behavior and relaxation in dogs that show signs of fear and anxiety in situations like thunderstorms, travel, loud noise and visitors…. We couldn’t brew up a proper storm to test this, hence the visitor.

On Sunday, I showed you my wonderful new Chewy box, Chewy boxes are the BEST! (both the actual box & contents)  So I guess you’re wondering about what was in the box – aside from me, that is. One thing was a daily calendar for 2018 with 365 pictures of cats! I intend to use it as an educational tool for teaching Master Munchkin about time. (If anyone is interested, we are still building our time travel machine and hope to visit real, live dinosaurs.)

Nutro Wild Frontier Real Chicken & Real Turkey Recipe  is a pate  that is made in the USA for an adult cat’s High-Protein Grain-Free diet. Real chicken and real turkey as the first ingredients, and they don’t contain any grains, artificial flavors, colors or preservatives—just high-quality ingredients and nutrition in every serving.  The 24 twin-packs provided 48 perfectly portioned servings. 

I love the oval shape of Nutro Wild Frontier Real Chicken & Real Turkey Recipe as the cats usually won’t clear a plate and are opposed to eating off the sides there was way less I had to scoop back to the middle so they’d find it acceptable. I also like the dual containers since they never eat more then half a can in a sitting and this makes serving dinner super easy.
