  1. While i’m not doing what i really love as a job, i am doing good for people by keeping this job, and i do what i really enjoy when i get off work. Sometimes you have to fall in like with a job you don’t love while you work toward your dream job.

    1. Ms. Mimi, you’re a very wise woman!!!!
When asked, mom tells people to take a piece of paper and make 2 columns, and/or take 2 pages. On one page write down everything you love doing; on the next page write what you dislike. Have at least 10-12 items on each page. Then think about it. Don’t be in a rush, just think of what sort of job embodies what you love, while limited bits of what you do NOT like. Read it over, and make changes as needed until you know what your ideal job is.

Oddly enough, one of Mom’s favorite things is weeding the garden because she loves plants and being outdoors.

    1. Latkes! Yes, that is the name of those potato things Katsu was so thrilled about! We aren’t Jewish, either, but I don’t think that means we can’t honor their traditions – and food.

    1. Retired is THE way to live!!!! We’re not 100% sure how to celebrate this Hanukkah thing, but Katsu is purrticularly gratified to know potatoes (one of his favorite foods) are involved.
