Dear Furiends!
We’ve been busy-busy purrparing for the holiday season and spending time with Mom Saphera, who seems to be reaching the end of her time in this life. She refused to purrticipate – even for a proof of life selfie because she doesn’t feel well, but I got a pic of Katsu giving her a hug… actually, they both fell asleep and don’t know they’re purrticipating.
I caught Pawsephone snoozing, too.
BUT Merlin was wide awake:

Dear furiends, I know she doesn’t look old, but Mom Saphera is close to 14 and they generally have a life expectancy of 12-14 years for those in good health, but Mom Saphera loves food, and will raid cupboards, etc. if she is on a diet … she eats cat food, too. Anyway, our v e t has expected our chubby mom to die younger, due to the weight thing, so she is amazed she’s lived this long.

Furiends, Katsu is the biggest of us all – over 15#, so he is the only one that even attempts hugging 90+ # Saphera.
