Dear Furiends,
Before I forget to mention it, this post is purrticipating in The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfies Blog Hop – please, click here to visit our dear furiends, The Kitties Blue, as well as other Sunday hoppers.
This week, I came to the conclusion that Rumble is a far superior garden snoopervisor that I will ever be. Not only has he captured/released several moles, but this morning, he caught a boat tail grackle as it flew by… he has a trophy feather to prove it… I was too surprised by the catch to take a photo, but guess his game of catch the ball really purrpared him for that bird!
Pawsephone was hanging out in her spooky house and Katsu was sound asleep on the porch:
Our dear furiend, Angel, reports, “It it warmer than usual for this time of year in Ohio.”
Saphera is okay, but she seems to be going blind…. purrticularly at night.
Have a wonderful week, dear furiends!

Wo am impressed by the almost catch. Having a feather proves it happened – right?

Oh, he caught that bird fair and square… I think it fainted. Rumble hauled it all around for a couple minutes, then it revived and flew away, leaving the feathers as a reminder to both of them.

Rumble’s hunting abilities are amazing… thankfully he isn’t a killer.
Purrseidon, who wishes you a wonderful week.

Yes, I think Rumble has found his niche… MY garden! That’s okay, though… Actually he helps a lot.
Have a wonderful week, dear furiend.

Catching a grackle on the fly is pretty impurressive.

I completely agree! He went straight up from lying on the ground 3 feet and caught it like it was a football! I think the bird initially passed out from the shock of it all…. Mom started coughing (coffee went an unexpected way) … The only thing we still haven’t figured out is if the bird was flying low to catch the chubby bug Rumble was watching OR IF it was going to the fish pond for a drink.
We’ll never know.

We’re sorry about her eyes, too. She refuses to allow the staff to try castor oil drops. We’re all now wearing bells so she knows where we’re at and can follow us…. I keep expecting to see Santa!
