It looks like something that one can make with basic skills… and I’m thinking one could use things they had around, but weren’t using instead of new lumber….

He obviously was familiar with the construction methods, so he didn’t need to think hard and/or experiment how to do things…. Pops makes that sort of thing look simple, too.
