Sisfur Pawsephone and I had a nice chat about her posting on Tuesday without first asking purrmission…. She thinks she got one over on me, but in truth, I’ve been trying to get her to purrticipate… Due to her rebellious streak, I realized that if she thought she was getting away with something, she’d be more likely to do it. (I don’t understand the desirability of forbidden things, but have seen it in humans, too)… Long story short, I have now forbidden her from posting Happy Tuesday posties, and I also made it possible for her to learn when my snoopervisory schedule made it impossible for me to be near the internet.. unless I get rained out of the garden, of course. SO, I’m now patiently waiting to see if she takes the bait and claims Tuesdays…. against my rules, of course…. or so she thinks.
This post is purrticipating in The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfies Blog Hop – please, click here to visit our dear furiends, The Kitties Blue, as well as other Sunday hoppers. Oh, and just to egg her on, I clicked a selfie of her without her purrmission 😉
Angel at right, our dear tom-furiend in Ohio, is doing well, though his wi-fi and internet issues continue to be a problem. His Ma’s recovery of the use of her bestest petting hand is fairly good, though not quite the same.
Before I meow off, we found a stuffed toy you hide treats in for Saphera (I wouldn’t mind one of my own, but just extra treats would be fine, too.) We knew about Kongs but in her old age Saphera isn’t purrticularly fond of rubber toys. This new one (pineapple, which she agreed to pose with) fits “pupcorn” purrfectly in the hidey holes and a dental treat is on the bottom. Even better it is machine washable! She figured it out pretty quickly as with any iq dog toy. But she needs to work a little for her treats. (IMHO, treats should be given without reservation.) The staff is trying to get her to play fetch with it ….. they keep hiding a small dog treat in it prior to each throw. Currently she has brought it back twice, but then it turned into a game of keep away. ( Katsu is our family’s fetch-master… but if Saphera puts her mind to it, I’m sure she could beat him.)
Ginger said she would like to represent the chickens:
Speaking of Katsu, since everyone else agreed to purrticipate, he realized it would be a good idea if he did, too!
