Olive oil is very, very important in diet 🙂
On this opposite side of the world we eat/drink olive oil every day, raw or cooked in our dishes 😋
Long life and healthy!
Sid
We have some, but mom mainly uses either coconut oil or avocado oil, which are both supposedly healthy… Do you have those in Italy?
Purrseidon, who purrfers butter.
Hello 🙂
Yes, we have but we don’t use them usually. You know, we produce the best olive oil in so many different tastes and fragrances 😋
Have a great Sunday!
Sid
Sorry! I have sent my message without ending it 😕
… before producing fruits. Then you can learn how to extract the oil, it is not so complicated 😁
Happy Sunday!
Sid
We already know many ways to process our garden produce. The bestest thing this year was rosella – bumper harvest, so we’ll have ‘hibiscus’ tea for a long, long time.

I’ve read a couple of books on the Mediterranean diet, and follow it somewhat. So I’ve had olive oil around for years. The only butter we use is organic butter blended 50/50 with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. SO delicious! Tell your mom, maybe she’d like to give it a try! 😊
Will do, Ms. Lisa! We always have butter around and I know that when she makes pie crust, she uses half butter, half congealed coconut oil, so she might do this for other things. Do you have your own olive tree? We have coconut trees.
Purrseidon
I do NOT have my own olive tree! But I have been to a place that grows olive trees and they press their own oil and bottle it. So I got to see the process. That was cool 😎 Have you ever had a coconut from your coconut tree? 🌴🥥
Ms. Lisa, you’re so fortunate to have experienced such excitement as olive trees and making of the oil!!! And yes, we’ve been harvesting our own coconuts, avocados, etc. for years. Right now, we’re mainly harvesting rosella.

And we grow avocados and coconuts 😉
Purrseidon, who now wonders if we could grow an olive tree, too….

Yes, it is possible but you must find an adult plant already. It takes years before

Good advice, Sid dear furiend! We cats aren’t generally as long lived as most humans and I’m already 6.

This is fascinating. I knew some of this but not all of it. I actually eat coconut oil almost every day. Now I feel I should eat some olive oil!

You sound like mom – she mainly uses coconut oil or avocado oil, but just got olive oil, too.

Purrseidon, perhaps one day you can have your mom take a photo of you with a coconut from your tree! 🥥
