Sunday Selfies

Purr191Dear Furiends,

This post is purrticipating in The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfies Blog Hop – so you can click on this link to see what some of our furiends are doing this weekend.  Now that I have that out of the way,  I’m taking my purrsonal selfie in the yard, as I snoopervise my chicks/chickens savor some watermelon (I don’t know why they love that stuff so much, bot they do) …. I’m also watching my human staff, who are working on landscaping, but I won’t bore you with that. Anyway from left to right: Charnix, Rusty & CP:

Also, I finally got good pics of the white chicks faces and blue ears and both are officially letting us pet them, however I still am not sure which is Karen and/or Tori, but I assure you, that isn’t the same bird (note the ‘gray shadow’ between them… not really a shadow, that is C P:

Katsu is also snoopervising, our back yard but he chose to stay in the catio.Katsu1

Last, but not least, our dear furiend, Angel is doing just fine up there in chilly Ohio, even though he lives in an area with iffy phone and wifi signals. Despite that, he managed to share a few things he told Ms. Cherie (a.k.a. ‘Ma’): “So glad you played with me today even though you’re still sick. You always know what I want when I beg. Plus the squirrel tail was rolling around today. Of course I let you win a few games and get the birdie on the yarn while you pulled it through the three tunnels and hid in the other room. I know where you are, ha. I’ll let your win someday. 8:5. Yep I can count to ten and know when you call out, Last time around! Notice how I stop cleaning myself and rush to win, whenever you say that. Some days you’re swell, Ma.”

Isn’t it lovely that his staff will still play with him when they are sick”

Have a wonderful week, dear furiends!

Oh Purr, I m always so happy to see your photos. Amazing how you can be friends with all the different animals. Those sweet chicks, just gorgeous. Ma is concerned about me as I’ve been sleeping a lot, hot and humid, rain every day it seems. She doesn’t realize I’m up watch the house at night. When it’s colder I beg her to play a lot and keep her hours. She’s always waking me up to see if I am ok. Cute humans. Ha e luv you Purr, take care of auntie Jeanne, ok. Love, Angel 👼

    1. For several weeks, I wondered if they would ever be attractive, but they’re turning out like the pictures on wikipedia…. except for Rusty, I haven’t seen pictures of one that looks spotted.

    1. Meowser Purrssss BellaDharma! Yes, my chicks are growing super good. What you can’t tell via photos is that Katsu is, too. He is now about 1 1/2 years old and outwieghs me by 3 pounds. Master Munchkin is on a growing spree, too. His birthday was last week and the chef realized he no longer wore kids sizes, he now wears men’s size small…. The only place I’m growing seems to be my tummy.

  2. Dear sister, you look very young in your selfie. You have made a great job with chicks, they look fine, cute. Maybe some day Katsu will pose better. My mom has been very sick, but she is now better, so she will open the puter for me again.

      1. Dear sister, maybe I used a wrong word, mom said it is kanyyli in Finnish. It is like tube inside mom’s blood vessel and a doctor puts antibiotics to her, then puts a cap on it and the whole system is ready for more antibiotics, or mom would have had 15 holes in her hands.
Thank you for your prayers, she is much better now, she doesn’t sleep all the time and her left foot is not anymore like a giant red boot.
        Kitty kisses to you all!

      2. Oh meow is me, that sounds serious! BTW, I looked this up and It is called an intravenous cannula.
Did she injure her foot or was that due to inflammation?
        Still purraying!

      3. Thanks Purrsister, she walked barefoot on the grass, so there must have been a tiny, tiny cut in her foot and backteria jumped in. She was surprised how strong infection she got, fever 102.2 F and bright red leg til her knee. The doctor said it was erysipelas, quite dangerous. Now she ok, tired but ok. She sends warm hugs to you all and says thank you for prayers.
        Kosmo, and mom too.

    1. Meowser, yes, this is a very busy house, purrticularly because school is out for the summer. Thank you for the compliments. I hope you have a wonderful day.

    1. Mr. Charles, you are correct about my yard being a very busy place! Snoopervising is a full time job for me and a part time one for both Katsu and saphera.

  3. Awwww, delightful selfies all round! Angel really is a great guy letting his staff win a few of those games, plus is getting really good at the selfie things, too, unlike a certain other cat we know 😉 MOL
Hopefully Angels staff will be feeling better next week, but send purrs to them anyways to help speed recovery along.
    Lots of purrs
