Sunday Selfies

Purr101 copyDear Furiends,

This post is purrticipating in The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfies Blog Hop – to see what some of our furiends are doing this weekend please,  click here and visit our dear furiends, The Kitties Blue, as well as other Sunday hoppers.

This is not the best picture  of C P, but she finally figured out the perch!  (All the others had been using them forever , but she kept falling even on the ramps. —- Might have been copying Katsu.) They still stay in the baby cage at night as they refuse to go into coop part. We tried food and put them in through the coop …. they refuse. I feel safer with them on the porch at night anyways. 20190527_212613back yardback yard

I am so proud of CP! Just look how confident she looks on that perch! (For those of you who are new to my blog, C P is the fluffy one on the left).

NOW, for a few selfies from a couple of my back yard furiends:

The first one is “Gopher’ he is a gopher tortoise, who lives in the field next door, but he occasionally comes by to visit… and he likes fruit scraps, so my peaches are a hit with him.  If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you already know William Snakespear, who chased Ms. Munchkin home about 4 years ago, decided he liked my back yard and then moved in. If you look closely at his photo, he has an ant on his back… I don’t know why, but he often seems to have an ant on his back… Does anyone know if snakes have pet ants? …. Notice how competed they both are at taking selfies? Katsu could learn tips from them.20181118_182447

Alas, Katsu continues to be totally resistant to the smiling at the camera.

Saphera was feeling silly, so kept her specs on for her selfie:

She thinks she looks intellectual – whatever that is.

I think she looks nearsighted.

Our furiend, Angel is doing fine in Ohio and sends his regard… He not only took the time to pause in a game, but he looked at the camera!IMG_20190319_102002

Have a wonderful day, dear furiends!

“Ma, scroll down! Auntie Jeanne posted my photo by my race track under the piano! She’s so cool. Thanks, Auntie Jeanne. I don’t play with it too much any more, but it’s summer now, and I love to watch over my school house from the porch! I can’t believe the other creatures around Auntie Jeanne! Wow, that’s a huge turtle. We have mostly snapping turtles in the woods, and the water turtles with long necks and higher shells. Hello Auntie Jeanne! I’ll always love Purr. All Purr’s friends at your house are so cool too.”

    1. Dear furiend, I thank you for the compliments, but ‘beautiful chicks’/ I’m sure they will be one day, but in this kitty’s opinion, they are only starting to come out of their homely phase.

Great selfies from all. I especially enjoyed Saphera’s today, she looks very smart- Mr. M would be proud of her. Nice tortoise, but eeeekkk! on the snake. I have not heard of them having ants as pets, but you never know. You must be very proud of CP. XO

    1. Ms. Ellen, I’m not overly fond of William, but he does a good job keeping the Cuban frog population down – and doesn’t seem to be affected by their secretions (alas, I am), so I’m grateful for his assistance in slowing down the froggy invasion.

    1. Kosmo, dear brofur, I don’t know much about snakes, since I’ve only ever met three…. the water snake that dared to claim my purrsonal wading pool (that affront did not end well for the snake), the baby boa that tried to move into my catio… I evicted it. The nerve! And William, who is smart enough to behave…. I shall ask him about pets… Princess ERin was wondering if he might offer ‘bus service’ for ants. I need to ask him about that, too.

  3. Saphera looks like she has been reading the news, MOL Congratulations for CP, that is a great progress and will stand her in good stead. Sadly it does seem like Katsu has the hump with doing selfies! Hmm, I wonder if Will is offering some sort of bus service to the ants, maybe to your pool for days out? Kind of like adventure holidays 😉
    Have a lovely week.
PS, Angel looks like he has a snake of his own to play with !

    1. Meowser Princess ERin, I never thought about Will providing bus service … for certain, he is much speedier than any ant. And you’re right about Angel having his own snake … less purrsonality, though.
