Dear Furiends,
Master Munchkin has been using balloons to keep us pets hydrated by making giant ice eggs. Saphera thinks they are great however she keeps bringing them inside… AND NOT SHARING!
We cats think they are cool too but can not carry them around otherwise we’d hide them everywhere and teach her how it feels when someone is stingy.
Before I forget to mention it, this post is purrticipating in The Cat on My Head’s Sunday Selfies Blog Hop – to see what some of our furiends are doing this weekend please, click here and visit our dear furiends, The Kitties Blue. Okay, now that I’ve made sure to add that, here is my official selfie:
And, Katsu actually managed to stay awake for his selfie… he is even halfway looking at the camera, which is a major improvement… He has a bad pattern of nodding off or looking the other direction:
Ms. DD was assisting mom while she worked (sitting on her knee, while she typed) and insisted that her selfie could be taken right there… Slowly, but surely, I’m learning that when they said Silkie hens were ‘broody’ they meant lazy….
Ehem, SHE claims she isn’t lazy and that she is doing a very important job …. Mr. M made the same claim when he napped behind the monitor while mom worked…
Last, but not least, Angel is admiring hie lovely green grass from the vantage point of his purrsonal porch… he likes to oversee his kingdom from that vantage point.
Now that the formalities are done, I’m off to see if Saphera left any ice egg for me,

Ice eggs are a paw-some idea. It’s finally warm enough around here to use one. Mom says that dogs eat very quickly and don’t really think about anything except what is going in their mouths. Purrs, Snoops and Kommando Kitty

Pops claims a dog is a ‘walking support system for its stomach’…. I’m thinking that is more or less how you think, too.
Purrseidon
PS: ice eggs look easy to make – prestretch a balloon, fill it with water & tie off, then freeze… cut around the fat part to remove the balloon, which could be a choking hazard.

Thank you so much Auntie Jeanne. Wow, your blogs are purrfect. So great for my self esteem too. Hope Ma tells you about the two huge dogs who ran into yard. They didn’t like each other. I was so nervous but they didn’t even notice me on the porch. Glad some neighbors got them. Kisses to purr and a all your babies. I like to pose too. Tell katsu it’s fun! Love and licks

Meowser Angel, dear furiend! So glad that you have Ms. Cherie remember to send your selfies when she gets into town for the wifi!
I shall pass your advice on to Katsu, but I’m not sure he’ll ever get good at selfies.
I take it that you don’t like dogs and admit that I’ve met a couple of them that weren’t nice, but I actually have more doggy furiends than kitty furiends… No other kitties go on walks, so I simply don’t have much luck meeting them, except online.

Beautiful selfies all around. Broody hens like to sit and brood over their eggs, so maybe DD is just practicing what she will be doing when she grows up.

Ms. Mimi, DD has taken a lot of responsibility for the younger ones, which helps me a lot…. I’m thinking she’ll be a better mother hen than I am.

I might just try that with Johnny. Sounds like a great idea.

I assume you mean the ice egg. IF you have it in the house, it would be best to keep it in a pan, where it could safely melt… Saphera was given this outside, then brought it in…. she can open doors, if they aren’t locked.

Purrseidon, wouldn’t it be amazing if giant chickies hatched out of giant ice eggs?! Tee hee hee. I shared your website address with my Twitter furr-iend Alice the gray pussycat. She likes to play in water like you.

Master Munchkin can be very creative! I would never have thought of ice eggs, either….. Water eggs, yes, but I’d never heard of ice eggs.

They were surely fun. And the best part is that Grams gave Master Munchkin dozens and dozens of balloons, so we can make lots more.

Easy to make – at least they are for those with opposable thumbs… a mega challenge to claws, though, so keep them retracted!!!!!
Let me know if you make some.

Those ice eggs look like a cool thing to try (literally) but I’m sure someone would slip on the wet floor.

Master Munchkin gave the egg to Saphera outside, but she brought it in. Moments after the photo, she and the egg went back outside … and the door got locked.

Saphera sure needs to spread that ice around, well at least in the sharing sort of way and not the melting puddle sort of way, MOL
Aww, Angel having green grass and sunshine is awesome. I wonder if he has mices too?
Great work from Katsu—that certainly is one of his best selfie to date 😉
As to the silkie, well I think they may be trying to pull the feathers over your eyes!

Meowser ERin, dear furiend! Angel has reported on mouses many, many times…. I’m sort of jealous of that, but then he’s never mentioned armadillos, moles, tree frogs, geckos or snakes.
As per C P, the silkie, I’m thinking she might be very snuggly and nice, but she might not be purrticularly intelligent…. Would you believe that she hop/flew off the couch and landed in Saphera’s mouth? Saphera’s jaw just hung open in shock, so C P walked out and she casually went into her hutch… I’m thinking that was super dumb.
