Thankful Thursday

Dear Furiends,

As most of you know, on Thursdays, I generally share 5 Thoughts to be Thankful for on Thankful Thursday. HOWEVER, today is Katsu’s first birthday, so I’m devoting this post to him. You’ll probably recall that I wasn’t overly thrilled to have a new brofur.  Purrticularly when Mr. M lost his battle with cancer and Katsu arrived within days of his burial… So, not only was I trying to deal with my feelings of losing M, due to Katsu’s eye infection, and the possibility it was contagious, I also lost my bedroom. Believe me when I tell you that last April, I would never, ever have predicted that I’d come to adore my little borfur and/or even like him enough to write a Thankful Thursday post about him. 

I think a lot of my catitude was because I wasn’t allowed to meet him  for at least 3 weeks. Of course, when I was FINALLY allowed to meet him, I started feeling compassion as I got to know him and understand just how much he needed a good furever home.
Katsu still has vision issues, and strange eating habits – Have you ever heard of a cat who loved mashed potatoes?!? But I can live with that – as long as he doesn’t expect me to eat potatoes, that is.
