Feline Friday Fillins

cropped-dsc_04701. September is the perfect month for starting to work in the garden and starting to harvest ‘nip

2. This month, I am looking forward to my brofur’s health issues getting resolved. Katsu’s blood was good, though his white blood still in the high- normal range. The Vet plans to give him another fiv test to verify the shelters results. He is good for surgery we just have to call tomorrow and see which week he can fit him in. He is up to 9 lbs 8 ozs, so is getting very close to my size.41122995_2270162896333396_4904529073490886656_n

Yesterday, he cried a bit when giving blood, but bit a corner of a towel instead of the Tech. The staff claims he is much better than I am, since he didn’t draw blood. (I disagree.) He was sad that the vet’s giant dog did not want to cuddle or rub noses and kept looking the other way. When we walked in he was on a leash and he started heading right to the room we usually end up in for the appointments.
There I am, above right,  being a loving sisfur ’cause Katsu lost blood and got the dreaded thermometer.

4. I have a love-hate relationship with the vet – I know they’re trying to help me get better, but do they really need to use needles and that dreadful thermometer?!

    1. Mr. Charles, I frequently take my afternoon naps in Ms. Purrseidon’s prize nip plant – she has it in a pot inside our catio… When I first crawled into that plant, she got her whiskers in a twirl, but when she realized i wasn’t hurting it, she was fine with the idea.

    1. Ms. Shoko, I watched my sisfur bite and didn’t think her ‘message’ was received the way she intended. I’m trying to figure out a better way to get through this, so biting the towel seemed like a good thing to try. I got cuddles instead of angry words, so think it was a good choice. Katsu

  1. Oh My Furiend Katsu,
I hear you on #4! I have been to the place with white coats far more than I wanted! And if being taken to that place for the stabby procedures, now The Female Human has to stab me every other day to give me fluids. I must say however, those fluids always make me feel better. I, like you, am putting on some weight (which I badly needed) and I’m even feeling playful again and also started purring again. Hang in there my little furiend, your humans will make sure you are well again and Poseidon is looking out for you too!

    1. Jasmine, I don’t think any cat should be as familiar with the ‘white coats’ or their office and you and I are. The thing that worries me is that they couldn’t help Mr. M… I don’t want Ms. Purrseidon grieving for me, like she does for him. Do you know that when she can get into the back yard, she still puts a priority on spending time with his grave?

Thank you both for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I am sorry you had to go to the vet again though Katsu. And Purrseidon, you are such a sweet sister. Have a nice weekend. XO

Thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins, Purrseidon and Katsu! We bet you’ll have the best nip harvest around, Purrseidon. We’re already jealous. Katsu, we’re still sending you lots and lots of purrs and prayers! It sure is tough when you know the V-E-T wants to help you, yet they’re still always bringing out all those sharp objects. What’s up with that? Happy weekend!

    1. Ms. Purrseidon says I should give them limits and draw some of their blood to see how they like it, and I know she takes her own advice, but she hasn’t been sick most of her life. I am purraying that they will be able to help me see straight. The yucky meds have already made me feel better.

    1. Well, Ms. Jan, I believe Marcus would agree with me when I tell you it is better to bite the Tech… How else will they be motivated to find a better way to take temperatures?!? Purrseidon

    1. Ms. Sandee, Katsu and I think you’re just being polite because we thought your answers were always great…. Didn’t you answer, today because you didn’t think they were good enough? Purrseidon
