Dear Furiends,pool

I FINALLY have my big pool!!!

A new Boogie board, too!!!

Alas, I need to be nice and share it with my Munchkins and some very strange blow-up birds, which seem very untrustworthy…. I don’t like the ladder, either, and that’s odd since it’s the first ladder I’ve ever met that I don’t like.  We only got to be in a little bit before it started to rain and the staff forced me inside because of the lightening and water’s connectivity. (Mr. M would be very proud that I understood the reason. If you’ll recall the scene in Vi-Purrs about Mischief’s love for playing in the rain, lightening was something he had fits over.)

And now for Katsu, who Ms. Munchkin is teaching to sew (this can NOT be as fun as water, but he’s currently fascinated with the various methods of making things (glue didn’t work out so well), but so far, so good with needle and thread:

I do hope he knows that I haven’t gotten to heaven – yet!!! But we both can build a fine furiendship on the internet.

    1. Meowser, it’s WONDERFUL to finally have a nice big pool. Alas the thing I didn’t foresee was that once I had the pool of my dreams, I’d need to share it with the munchkins…. >^.^<

  2. That’s a great pool Purr. That sewin’ is kind’a fun. Mommy used to do more of it. Hope she gets her needle changed someday soon so she can do more. Big hugs fur all.

      1. Well, mommy’s needle broke when she helped me make a hat fur cat scouts. She can’t see well enuff to change it, so she was hopin’ a neighbor lady would do it. She had said she would. but that was last summer, so it’s gonna be up to mommy to figger it out. She’s never made cat toys, but thinks she’d like to try. She just made clothes and repairs. She had to teach herslef and doesn’t know how to use a pattern. but, she can’t affurd material these days, so she just mostly does repairs or makes stuff out of her old clothes. Big hugs

      2. Ms. Munchkin can’t afford fabric, either, so she gets things made of fabric at rummage sales, etc. then uses good parts to make stuff. As per that needle, there should be a front and back to it, and if it’s like ours, the shaft that’s in the machine will have a flat side. So you need to jam the new needle up in there with the flat side in the same spot as what comes out…. Even if eyes can’t see, fingers might be sensitive enough to feel that flat part of the shaft. The tricky part if threading the new needle, but don’t try to help…. I got locked on the catio for being helpful.

      3. Oh Katsu, sorry you got locked up fur tryin’ to help. That’s not right, just not right at all. And yes, threadin’ that thing is somethin’ mommy’s fur sure dreadin’. We’ll see, surely she’ll get ’round to it sometime this year. Big hugs

  6. Purrseidon, we are so impressed with you on the boogie board. Our angel sisfur, Lily Olivia, loved to help Mom sew, especially when she made catnip toys. Thanks so much for hopping.     1. Dear Kitties Blue Furiends, I’m glad you like my new board! I think it’s beautiful with all the pretty colors. Ms. Munchkin wasn’t making ‘nip toys, but that would be a purrfect project. I shall suggest it to her. Have a purrfect week! >^.^<

  11. Aww Katsu looks so proud to have mastered that piece of equipment. I do hope it will be put to good use making useful items, such as nip toys?
    Great selfie, Purrseidon, and great balance work too, on the boogie board. What you need is an indoor pool for the rainy days. Do they have dry slopes to practice on, like skiers?

    1. ERin, this purrticular area is quite flat, but Master Muchkin is begging for a skateboard ramp, I figure that if he gets one, I can use the old skateboard, which M and I inherited a couple years ago. THEN I can use it to purractice, and that should transfer to my boogie board. >^.^<

    What a wonderful pool you have! And you are very generous to share it. You should set up some rules for proper usage though 😸

    Sewing ist a great occupation. Our cat Rübe used to help me sew a lot.

  13. Hooray for the new pool! May i suggest you make friends with the ladder if you can, it may save your life someday to know how to climb out by yourself.

    Katsu, i wish you much good luck in your endeavor to learn sewing. The last person who tried to teach me to sew made me promise i would never touch a sewing machine again!
