Dear Furiends,
Sorry, for the grooming shot – I’ve been very, very busy this week, and was trying to get my fur in propurr place.
Below, Katsu is posing with our ‘nip plant… it’s starting to get a bit flattish, since that has become his favorite place.
Next, is the raptor that dropped by and temporarily took over my purrsonal oak… I was quite startled when I initially saw him. Fortunately, he claims cats aren’t on his diet… Unfortunately, the lizards I love to chase are…
Thus in order to be politically correct, I’m also sharing a photo of the lizard that was NOT eaten:
Next I thought you might like to see a photo of a passion flower – this is NOT the one that’s trying to take over my catio.
AND I shall end today’s selfies with our dear furiend, Angel. Neither Angel nor his mom, Ms. Cherie, have a blog, though they DO have a humongous piano, so I told my dear furiend that any time he emalled me a photo, I’d include it. Angel and Ms. Cherie live in Ohio and have actual hills!. Here is Angel as he sits on his purrsonal porch and keeps an eye on everything:
Did you notice that he has an honest-to-goodness-rug on his porch/catio?!?!? Katsu and I only have a yoga mat….. I’m thinking Angel is quite pampered… Alberto and the Tribe of Five have a beautiful rug on their catio, too… I’m seeing a pattern….

“Ah, MA, I feel so special. Really didn’t want to see you leave today, could you tell? I know you love me, even though I’m wild, maybe someday you’ll be able to pick me up. I really loved your petting me today. My love to Purr, my special gal who loves water and has so much less fear than I do. But I’m getting there, Ma. Love to Auntie Jeanne too! Hope the chicks are well. Adorable.”

Meowser Angel dear furiend! Bummer that you don’t have wifi at home or even a good cell signal. Purrhaps one day this will change.

I had better hide my yoga mat!
We love your lizard! We get skinks here but people are not seeing as may right now!

I looked up skinks on wikipedia – yes, they look very much like my lizard!. You only need to hide your yoga mat if you don’t want the kitten crew to figure out who wonderful it is for polishing claws. This is MY purrsonal yoga mat… the staff have others, which they keep rolled up and locked in closets. >^.^<

I think you all are purr-ty well pampered, ’cause you have catios. I don’t have a catio, a yoga mat or a rug. (pouty face) I wanna come live with all of you. Tee hee hee.

Valentine. dear furiend, we would love you to come! Do you at least have a halter & leash? It’s a law in this county that all pets must use them when out for a stroll and we wouldn’t want you to be arrested on your way here! >^.^<

Marv, he’s a very fun, speedy lizard! This fact is obvious because he still has his tail…. All my other lizards have been caught, so they either have no tail and/or are growing them back… Lizard tails are very fragile things. >^.^<

Great selfies. Angel is quite handsome.

I agree that he looks nice, but he’s also really nice and quite a music lover, which is probably one reason why he chose Ms. Cherie… she’s a retired concert pianist. >^.^<

It would seem to me that rugs on a catio would get wet and rot or mold.
Great selfies of everycreature and the plants.

Ms. Mimi, my furiends tell me olefin is sort of a plastic that can be made into rugs and used outdoors, so I suspect that is why theirs are made of. >^.^<

Our catio is exposed and open to the elements, so we only have driveway gravel as a floor! We usually sit on the wooden shelves!

I’ve heard that driveway gravel is easy to wash and doesn’t stick to paws like mulch. >^.^<

It works well and it’s properties are as you say.

We love lizards! YUM!! Mom and Dad planted passion flower once…..it took over the whole side yard and Mom is still pulling up little “volunteers” that try to grow.

I’m glad to know this isn’t some sort of rogue passion plant! That said, I’m thinking I need to have my staff get control over it! Snakespear spend a lot of time hunting frogs in it – the sparrow parents can’t attack him in it. >^.^<

Good looking kitties and that raptor is a regal looking bird. They do eat our critters though.
Have a purrfect Sunday Selfie. My best to your mom. ♥

MOL, a cat does need a rug, for sure, but if you have a hound-in-da-house I find they tend to hog them a bit. In hot climes a rug is a bad thing, i’m told so there might just be a reason why. Maybe you should ask for a woven catnip rug?

PS That raptor dude looks very hungry, I hope lizard pie wasnt on his menu as that little guy looks loads of fun…

ERin, I love chasing that lizard! I hadn’t thought about how rugs might not be good in this climate. Thank you for pointing that out! For sure, the yoga mat is fine when rain blows in and I actually love to sharpen my claws on it. Hmm… Purrhaps I should flaunt my yoga mat! >^.^<
