Sunday Selfies

Dear Furiends,

I’m still not smiling over getting a new brofur…. Katsu has upsurped my room, my bed AND my purrsonal human – if you don’t believe me, here is the evidence:

sam

Master Munchkin has also been to the zoo and while I don’t mind including this trio of meerkats in todays’ selfies, I shall put up a mega protest IF Master Munchkin adopt them and further pushes me out of my purrsonal space!

  2. Please do not show you are upset by soiling outside of the box. Mikey does that here, and he has destroyed things and sometimes makes a lot of trouble.

You probably do not have to worry about any zoo creatures coming into your home. Your mother would have to get a license or certificate to own a wild animal, and it’s hard to get those things, nor do i think she wants to go to all of that trouble.

    1. I would never think of doing such a thing! M once got peeved with the establishment and peed in mom’s sneaker – that never went over well, so I learned what not to do by watching the mistakes of others…. >^.^<

  3. Oh my whiskers!
Our Female Human went to the zoo a few weeks ago and she hasn’t stopped yammering about the meerkats. We told her over and over they are not the kind of kats that we would like to add to the Tribe!

And I know you might not like this piece of advice, but give Katsu a chance. As the 14-year old Alpha of The Tribe I’ve been a kitten introduced to older cats and I’ve met new kittens inducted into The Tribe. As soon as these little whippersnappers understand who’s the boss and what the rules are, they are purrfectly fine.

    1. Tucker, thank you for the valuable advice…. you sound a lot like Mr. M and that makes me feel very, very good.
The weirdest thing is that Katsu has taken over my things and space, but we’ve never officially been introduced. Mom says this is because of his eye infection, which is apparently contagious. That said, I learned that while I’m on my daily rounds to visit my angel brofurs, I can hop onto the window sill and study him. In point of fact, the past couple days, I’ve gotten so distracted by my observations that I forgot to visit Gunner’s grave. You might consider it strange for me to spend time with my angel brofurs every day, but it makes them not feel so gone.

      1. I think visiting your Angel brofurs makes purrfect sense and I’m very happy Katsu is providing you with a bit of distraction. When it comes to health the humans know best so be patient until the little guy is healthy and you can visit. One thing though, I think your humans should be getting you some new things since the little guy has taken over your stuff . You should have a little chat with them. Humans need to be reminded of the rules. For instance, the Male Human is NOT adhering to our strict feeding schedule so I had to do the two-step across his chest while he was stretched out on the sofa watching the big black box. I realize they did not arrive home until the wee hours of the morning but a regime must be maintained!

      2. Tucker, I’ve taken my purrsonal red blanket and moved into mom’s room. Not ALL of my toys were in my room, so I still have many of my things. Observing this new brofur, I now know that he likes gold best – he plays with that color of thing all the time and basically ignores the rest, which is good since my favorites are the orangish ones…. M loves blues. >^.^<

  4. (Queen Daisy Mae Talking) It will get better. You won’t be pushed out completely. I wasn’t when I had a sister. Of course I was the younger one. You just have to teach Little Munchkin that they will have to share. Also, you are as cute if not cuter when they realize that, things will get better.

    1. Meerkats are something to worry about, aren’t they?!? I don’t know how I can begin building a relationship with Katsu when we are separated by doors and windows…. this is a vexing situation. >^.^<

      1. Shoko, I know you totally understand my feelings because losing your dear sisfur was just about the same as me losing M…. Is your staff making any comments about replacing Ms. Kali? AND what would you do if you suddenly sort of had one, but were blocked from meeting him/her? >^.^<

      2. I do sorta understand your feelings as my world was turned upside down when Kali left and believe everyone knew I was unhappy. Never keep your emotions inside Purr when you can let everyone know the hurt you feel and this seems to get id of some of the lonesomeness.
These guys could never replace Kali as she is and was one of a kind with her cleanliness , phobia about bugs and hotsy totsy spa therapy. However, mom is starting to look at the SPCA adoption page here. There is 1 cat for adoption and nothing else. Spring has yet to hit the cat population here. hehe I don’t know what I’d do with a wee kitten. I wouldn’t be amused as I was a twit and maybe all kittens are the same. I don’t envy you Purr. If she is blocked off, don’t worry bout it. Keep us informed of your trials as this is good for me to hear and I’ll try and help you bu.

      3. Shoko, Katsu isn’t a super wee kitten, he is 5 months old and has had his surgery, which is what is necessary to be able to be adopted. Can you imagine living the first 5 months of your life in a shelter? I sort of understand why Master Munchkin wanted to rescue him, but all these changes are difficult. >^.^<

    1. Apparently, Katsu has lived at the shelter for his entire five months of life… Once he got to be five months old, he had his surgery and was then available for adoption, but due to that eye thing he has, hands needs to be sanitized after petting him, which is why I’m not allowed close. You’re correct, this is very upsetting. >^.^<

  5. Oooh, I can see why you’re upset at the invasion. I do think that it will stop at just the one, and not include those cats of meer! Has the youngster shown any inclination to water? If so you could have a new pupil on your paws… now that could be fun Sensei Purrseidon has a cool ring to it….

    1. Erin, he is in MY bedroom, with the door closed, so I can only peer under the door’s 1 inch gab….. Impossible to tell if he might like water sports. >^.^<

    1. Brofur Kosmo, do you really think Katsu looks like me?!? I thought he looked terribly pale… Do I look that pale?!? I’m used to looking at you and M – no one would call either of your pale. >^.^<
