White Holes

Dear Furiends,Mr.M'sskywatch

I’m sure that we’ve all heard of black holes, but have you ever heard of white holes? This isn’t a joke, it’s a serious question. So, let me tell you about white holes.  Obviously, a white hole is the theoretical opposite of a black one. And since black holes don’t let anything escape from their surface, white holes, being opposites eruption matter and energy, so nothing can get inside them.  (I don’t understand how something can come from nothing, yet this is a hypothetical fact of the universe.)whitehole
Theoretically, if you were to approach a white hole in a spacecraft, you would be inundated by a colossal amount of energy, which would most likely destroy your ship. Even if your spaceship could withstand gamma rays, light itself would start slowing you down like air resistance slowing down a moving vehicle on Earth… and, no Purrseidon and I are not planning on writing a book about this, but you might want to.

Have a wonderful day, dear furiends!

That would be a very interesting wrinkle for a scifi story — working against the slowing effects of a white hole to get the mission done before it’s too late.

    1. I hadn’t heard about these, previously, either and I did stress that the concept is theoretical. But it makes purrfect sense that such a thing must exist. =^.^=
