Friday Friendly Fillins

Purr1221. The most interesting museum I have been to is none… cats are not allowed in that sort of place, which – if you ask me – is very discriminatory. And while I’m on this topic, how come dogs are the only species, which are acknowledged to be ‘service animals’??? IMO, (in my opinion), I am a service cat, who works hard to assure her family is comfortable and Master Munchkin gets a solid education. So, museums might be a very good place to take him… I am proud to tell you that he is very knowledgable about fish, corals and things associated to the ocean, where I AM allowed to go.

2. The most interesting historical place I have been to is none – I’m pretty much left behind, much to my disgust, when the staff goes to interesting places.

M4 3. The heat of summer is back!

4. I was surprised that it hasn’t been rainier this month. I thought ‘April showers bring May flowers’ meant April would be a horrible month.

This post is participating in Friendly Fill-Ins, which is hosted by McGuffy’s Reader & 15andmeowing – on Thursdays, they asked these 4 fill in the blank questions:

1. The most interesting museum I have been to is __________________________.C7Ogl7eXgAIKZSw

2. The most interesting historical place I have been to is _____________________.

3. _____________________ is back!

4. I was surprised _____________________.

    1. I think I would like museums and libraries, too…. M, for sure, would love libraries – when he isn’t in his box, he’s often hanging out with books. I would also like to go to aquariums…. lots of places we ‘service cats’ are discriminated against. >^.^<

    1. It has been raining quite a bit here, too. And, yes, Ms. Suzanne, we cats are excellent comfort animals in fact, it has been scientifically proven that our purrs are healing! =^.^=

      1. The staff has me on meds for my frequent UTIs + vitamins… This has gone one for weeks… Truth be told, I haven’t felt this good since I was a kitten. However, dear furiend, it’s been years since I was a kitten, so I suspect I’m at mid-life (best case) or just plain elderly. =^.^=

    Kitty,
You would be very happy here in Texas. It appears that any animal can be a service animal. IF your horse gives you comfort, it is a service animal. You just have to tag it as such. You are responsible to clean up after it though. As long as the animal is tagged properly and is under the immediate control of the owner, it can go wherever the owner needs it to. I have even seen squirrels as comfort animals.
    Have a great weekend

    1. SQUIRRELS as COMFORT animals?!? Oh, meow is me!! Saphera is an official, licensed service animal, but we cats don’t have the purrsonality to pass the tests and/or take the training course she did. >^.^<

      1. When the ground dries out, it gets very hard, and doesn’t absorb water… Think of a sponge: a damp sponge will quickly and easily mop up a spill, while a dry one mainly smears the mess. This is why draughts are generally followed by floods and (my opinion) also explains why an area can simultaneously have draughts and flooding.

    1. At 9 a.m. it was 81 degrees…. The good news is that the Gulf Stream moderates our temperatures, so it rarely gets over 90 and I can’t recall this area getting over 100. >^.^<

    1. Oh, meowser!!! What sort of museum would you have? Pop’s favorites are the 2 Smithsonian ones that are for Air and Space (you now know who M stalks) Mom purrferres the ones about earth history, or just walking around our national parks, which are a ‘different testament to history’. >^.^<

  3. What person in a museum could see you, Purr, and NOT melt and give you what you want?!?! It’s craziness! On the other hand though, we bet swimming and playing in the water is WAY more fun than some boring museum. 😉
I understand you, Purr – I have a need to learn and understand the world around me better – so museums aren’t boring for me.

    1. M and I both love researching and discovering new ideas/information. We don’t always totally understand some things, but they are still interesting… I don’t know why public places so often seem anti-cat…. that is simply wrong. I hear that in the UK, they honor cats enough to employ them as mousers in public buildings… IMO the US could learn a lot from them. >^.^<

  4. Hi there! Mr. M looks very handsome and you look as cute as always. You and Master Munchin have the same interests, have you teached him to love oceans and everything there? Here in winter and spring still fighting, this morning was a very special situation. It was snowing and thunderstorm at the same time. It happens sometimes, but it is special.
    Have a cool weekend!
