Dear Furiends,
I gazed into my pond in shock — a rattlesnake was in it!!! How dare such a thing invade my yard, much less my purrsonal pond?!?
And, no I didn’t remember to get a photo of that nasty thing.

Gosh ! Rattlers are bad enough – but I had heard about all those pythons breeding like crazy. Neither is good for cats.

I just plain don’t like snakes … they are nasty and scary as Chucky. >^.^<

Very frightening! Didn’t know there were rattlers in FL!
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!

I didn’t know that either… but there was at least one in my purrsonal pond. I hope there aren’t more, but am sure there are more lurking… >^.^<

Whoa! That’s scary. We get them too, I hear, but I’ve never seen one. I’m kind of glad I haven’t seen one either!

The way M sees it: it is better to see and avoid than not to see and sit… apparently that happened to a dog who sat on a bee, but he claims it is the same principle. >^.^<

Oh dear! I hope you had some clear words for the snake. So did the snake move out or do you charge it some rent now?

Be careful, P. You wouldn’t want to end up on the wrong side of a rattlesnake! Better to just let him finish his bath. I had no idea they even lived in Florida.

I had no idea there were any of that sort here, either! Horrifying … um, it won’t need any more baths, not where the staff put it…. >^.^<

A rattlesnake, I am very grateful just now for having cold and winter. Our pool for birds is just ice, no snakes. Was it big? Dear Purrseidon, I have never seen your fur like in this photo, you have gorgeous colouring and figures!

Dear Brother Kosmo, I always try to remember to look at the camera, but was so shocked at my discovery, that I totally forgot. I’m glad you like my coloring. It is quite handy for hiding in trees. >^.^<

Poor rattlesnake… it was taking a relaxing bath, wasn’t it?! 😛
Or maybe it was chasing the nasty squirrel… 😉

Don’t know why it was there, but it certainly did not belong in my yard! Though I could almost forgive it, if it had been after a squirrel… >^.^<

It not only was terrifying (worse than finding a squirrel in my pond!!!), it is making me want to check behind every leaf. >^.^<
