Compromise…

p1200405

Dear Furiends,

I have been forced into a compromise by my staff…. I’m not exactly sure how I feel about this, but – for now – I’m humoring them.

As you can see by my photo, I’m wearing a Halloween glow stick…. Every night, when Saphera goes out for her evening stroll, I ask to go with her… and I kept being told that awful ‘n word’ – NO…. <sigh> I even began throwing fits. I mean, have you ever heard of such discrimination where the dog is allowed out, but the cat isn’t?!?

Worse, I heard a certain phone conversation where a certain person was discussing my wishes and explaining that my brofur is allowed out at night because he just sprawls by the table on the porch and only goes to the yard to look around or ‘use the sand’. Obviously, Mr. M isn’t going to keep our sisfur company on her evening stroll. Furthermore, the person said, “It’s not that I do not trust the mischivous one or anything.” Translation: they do NOT trust me!!!  Could this be the why I need to spend so much time training and retraining my staff?!?

How do I earn their trust?!? stick

Like I said, we’ve come to a compromise.

Apparently, the staff didn’t want me outside at night because of their extraordinarily bad eyesight. (They can see Saphera, who is big and white and even though M is black, he doesn’t really leave the porch.) In honor of their bad eyes, I wore a leftover Halloween glow-stick on my collar.  The unexpected bonus is that it attracts bugs, which are a lot of fun.  And, with a glance, the staff can see where I am.

Have a wonderful week, my furiends,

Purrseidon  >^.^<

  1. OMC A glow stick? Now dat’s an idea we guess. Altho’ bugs in your face? What ’bout mosquitos? Couldn’t dat be dangerous? Not sure we’d go fur a compurrmise like dat one. ‘Course it’t not like we wear collars anyways. MOL Big hugs to all.

    Luv ya’

    1. Now that I realize that silly stick attracts bugs, which I love to play with, the compromise is starting to seem better. Hope you have a wonderful week —- M says to give you a friendly head butt, but I don’t know how to do that in a comment, so close your eyes and imagine. Purrs, my brother. >^.^<

  2. I can’t decide if the nightlight is an indignity or a blessing … I’m glad you get to go outside with your siblings though. Then again, if I were your staff, I’d be terrified of losing you too, P. You are truly one of a kind and they know that!

  3. It attracts BUGS? I want one of those! But then, I don’t get to go outside at night at all because we get too many dangerous critters. My human even saw a bobcat on the security cam a few weeks ago.

    1. There is a bobcat in our area, too…. and an alligator built its nest just the other side of our fence, plus that armadillo likes to dig holes under the fence… and there are SQUIRRELS!!! So, yes, my yard has the potential to have dangers…. I told the staff I could climb my tree, but they said that they knew everything except that armadillo could, too…. >^.^<
