Sept. 7th / Wordless Wednesday

I am joining a September Challenge and answering today’s question about my teen years, which weren’t very long ago. Here is the link if you want to check it out and/or maybe join in, too.

Did you ever get hurt trying to imitate someone else? What happened? squirrel-1121934_960_720

Well, this is embarrassing, but yes, when I was learning to climb trees, I tried to copy a local squirrel (a more of less decent fella, not like the evil ones at the Park). Going up was no problem, but let me tell you, never, ever go down nose-first!!! Squirrels obviously have paws/claws that are very different from cats. I now climb down tail first.

    1. Thankfully, that squirrel doesn’t live in MY TREE! It is an oak tree, so apparently the squirrel’s interest is collecting my acorns… since I have no use for those acorns, I have chosen not to make an issue of this. >^.^<

      1. Mom & Dad had one of those in in their back yard in Panama – it must have been at least 100 feet tall and I would have loved to climb it… they say iguanas and birds were often in it. >^.^<
