Dear Furiends,

I know I’m supposed to post a photo and keep quiet, but this week, I simply must speak.  My brofur had the staff help him into my favorite harness AND GO OUTSIDE ON A LEASH!!!! He lived feral for years and is NOT interested in being outside, with the exception of being in the shade on the porch – he doesn’t need harness for that or the protected back yard!

 

P1120988Lest you think that I’m being selfish, this is NOT about sharing my harness, I’m concerned about my brofur. Why in Catomondo is he suddenly acting so u-M?!?!?

Is alien possession possible? P1120981

Could he have had a stroke or something that changed his purrsonality?

Should I worry about his health or simply be glad he is getting out and about?

  2. I don’t trust anyone or thing that says I must be quiet. Not dang likely I’ll be a quiet little girl. I have lots to say. Now if your brofur wants the harness, give it to him. When your mom goes to put the same harness back on you, refuse. No mingling of furs for you. They want you on a harness, they have to buy your own collar. It’s only fair. Would your mom give her underwear to your dad to wear? I don’t think so….so you should have your own harness. Tell your mom Shoko explained the reasoning to you.

    1. I shall explain this to mom – thanks! BTW, M has 4 harnesses of his own, I have 4 because I go out more, but I try to wear certain harnesses for certain types of outings … due to M’s hatred of water, I was shocked that he’d choose my ‘let’s go to the beach’ harness.

        Maybe he wants you to go to the beach without him. He's a real harness fashionista. I'm still not that into my harness yet.

  3. Maybe he feels safe enough in life that he understands outside is not always scary. Maybe he will even go in the water with you one day………Maybe…..

    1. Someone said he might be having a mid-life crisis, so I guess anything is possible … he comes swimming with me and I shall blog about it for a year!!!

    1. I’m sure yours are too big for her …. now…. Once I’m finished growing, mine might be too big for M… I also admit that for a few months, while I was having a growth spurt, I wore his harness…. I don’t really mind him wearing mine, but since I attach destinations to each one, it was VERY unexpected to see him wear my ‘let’s go to the beach’ harness!

      1. Yeah she’s too small to fit it now, but some day. Me only has da one. Me didn’t mind sharin’ with sis Lexi, but me just doesn’t know ’bout Raena. Me thinks dat might be crossin’ a line. MOL Dat’s purretty cool dat you have names and destinations fur your harnesses. And dat you have a harness fur every place. Maybe M should have his own.

      6. Actually, I would love for him to come with me on adventures, but after a lifetime of disinterest, it is quite shocking when he wants to do something fun.

        2) lets go for a hike (it is my scout harness)
        3) my first harness, which is a bit too snug
        4) the red harness that I wear for neighborhood walks… I have the staff trained to know what I want by which harness I bring them.
        I also have 2 life vests.

      12. Meow, you are a blest kitty indeed Purr. Me’s furst harness broke, mommy said me had too much girth fur it, whatever dat means. So one of me’s facebook awnties got me a new one, cuz mommy just didn’t have da green papers. It’s a little tight, but mommy says it’ll have to fit one way or another. MOL

      13. My first harness was a hand-me-down from a chihuahua, who refused to wear it. The others have been lucky bid on eBay or found on the clearance rack, so not many green papers were used.

      14. Cool. Me’s furst harness was also sis Lexi’s harness and me broke it. Sis Lexi had got it from a dumpster dive. MOL Yep, mommy dumpster dove fur it in da rich peeps pawrt of town. MOL She doesn’t do dat anymore tho’.

      16. A small? MeOW How old is Purr? ‘Course, me guesses regular sized kitties would wear a small huh?. MOL We furget we’re large kitties here cuz dat’s all mommy sees. Well me’s measurements are large, but me’s harness is a medium and fit really well fur a long time. It’s a little tight, but mommy says she doesn’t know ifin me’s bloatin’ or ifin it’s real. And me ain’t tellin’. MOL So we’s not sure how those measurement things work. Or ifin it’s just da harness me has. It was hand made by a lady dat has a ebay shop we think. It came from da UK so maybe dat’s why da size is wonky. We’s not real sure. MOL

      18. Me isn’t sure ifin me’s harness is a kitty or doggy harness. Mommy says it doesn’t matter and she purrfurs da doggy ones. Those strappy things they make fur kitties are stupid. You be a young kitten yourself Purr. Enjoy dat kittenhood, you’ll never get it back. MOL

      19. I think M is about your age or maybe a bit older, but I bet you are bigger – he was feral for his first few years, so didn’t have a good diet. I’m already taller than he is.

      20. Me will be 7 Nov. 1st, and altho’ it turned out not to be a good diet, mommy thought she was feeding me good stuffs. But Ragdolls are just big anyways. And since we found out da foods me was eatin’ was just as bad as da cheap stuffs mommy’s had me on high quality noms and me’s gotten larger. MOL Now mommy feels bad like me was malnourished or somethin’. It’s sad dat M had to survive on his own, but he’s a blest boy now.

      21. Still, I bet your diet was better than whatever rats, squirrels and bugs you could catch! His teeth aren’t good, so we usually test wet food for Chewy. He is actually a very excellent brofur, but also very different from me.

      22. Yeah me ate regular meals. And dat’s what was good. Sorry his teeth are bad, sis Lexi had gingivitis her whole life and started losin’ her teeth when she was about 4 years old. Mommy says she did great without teeth, but always wet or raw food. Altho she could gum kibble too. She just wasn’t ‘posed too. MOL Doesn’t matter what is backgfound is, luvvin’ him is what counts. After all furmily is there fur ya’ when nopawdy else is.

      24. Oh No, we’re so sorry ’bout M’s broken teeth. Dat must hurt. We’ll purray fur him. And dat’s pawsum dat you get to review some treats. Mommy says we have some treats comin’ to review too. Me can’t wait cuz she says me’s gonna luv ’em.

    1. I hadn’t thought of a mid-life crisis! I kept wondering what I’ve done to cause this… And yes, he does look good in my sailor harness… I always choose that one when I want to go to the beach (we have a box full and he has some of his own), so it was shocking to see him wear one that I associate with a place he has never wanted to go.
