Have a Safe 4th!

This is  the 2nd time I’ve celebrated July 4th, but as I understand it, this is the country’s birthday. To understand what this means, I studied The Star Spangled Banner’s lyrics, and it seems like I can write a post about this part:

And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

So, first, I went through my file to find the old photo of when I supervised Master Munchkin build rockets … I don’t know if these are too modern or not, but living on Florida’s Space Coast, these are the sort I watch, when they are launched.

Mom says a star-spangled banner means the US flag, so I needed to find a waving one of those …. and I did – it even had an Eagle bowing with it …. then I asked Ms. Kiara to help me – not only is she a gourmet ‘nip blender, but she’s a really good graphic artist – don’t you agree?

    1. We had a very lovely 4th! The staff had music on inside, and any booms might have just been drum beats. The lights in the sky were very interesting.
